The 15 startup companies are deemed by Endeavor Malaysia to have a potential for scaleups

Endeavor Malaysia announces that it has officially started its inaugural ScaleUp Endeavor program with 15 companies selected from over 100 applications. The ScaleUp Endeavor 2019 programme was launched earlier this month by Endeavor Malaysia in partnership with TIME dotcom, Prudential Malaysia, CIMB Bank, and Bain & Company.

Endeavor Malaysia notes that this time, the programme is a new one that focusses on helping companies in the startup phase to move towards the scale-up phase of their business.

The 15 companies that were selected for this year’s ScaleUp Endeavor programme are from multiple industries that the accelerator believes to have a great potential for growth. They are:

  • AdEasy, an online marketplace for offline ad space. It seeks to simplify the ad booking process under one platform.
  • Supplycart, a Malaysian B2B e-procurement platform.
  • Vase.ai, an AI-powered market research platform delivering insights about consumer behaviour in 24 hours.
  • PTT Outdoor, outdoor equipment e-commerce, selling things like outdoor apparels, footwears, accessories, and so on.
  • HealthMetrics, a web-based solution that seeks to assist Human Resource (HR) in managing employees healthcare plan.
  • CapitalBay, a multibank supply chain finance, and P2P financing platform.
  • Food Market Hub, inventory management and purchasing solutions for restaurant and centre kitchen.
  • Dropee, a B2B eProcurement platform and enterprise solutions that allow businesses to get connected to sell and buy in bulk, and simultaneously manage its operation.
  • KLezCar, a car rental company that also provides customer services.
  • Mossery, a high-quality, personalised stationery startup.
  • Oncode, a medical solution provider that offers services in molecular diagnostic tests, in-house diagnostic tests design & development, medical system & apps designs, and medical consultation.
  • KATSANA, a platform that helps track and secure vehicles and allows for fleet management.
  • Cytron, provides solutions for educators and students to build smart electronic and robotics projects.
  • PichaEats, the startup that provides refugees a chance to rebuild their life in Malaysia through serving and selling their national delicacies.
  • TRAPO, an automotive accessories brand that is known for its online-to-offline car mat solutions specifically tailored for each type of car.

These companies will now undergo a 12-month programme where they will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will journey with them throughout this entire process. They will gain access and work closely with a pool of local mentors and service partners to scale their business.

In addition to that, the ScaleUp Endeavor programme will also provide a series of workshops that focus on Business Strategy, Building Talent, Finance, Operations, and Marketing. Endeavor will utilise the network it has to facilitate each session with key mentors that will share their experiences in these specific areas of business.

For its Malaysia’s arm, Endeavor Malaysia runs two tracks for entrepreneurs:

  • Endeavor Entrepreneur Track, which includes global support for high-growth scale-ups throughEndeavor’s worldwide mentor, investor, and service partner network. Endeavor Malaysia currently supports 21 Endeavor Entrepreneur companies which include the likes of The Holstein Milk Company (Farm Fresh Milk), Photobook, Carsome, FashionValet, and Common Ground that cumulatively generated US$311 million in revenues in 2018
  • ScaleUp Endeavor Track, which provides local support for high-growth startups through the Malaysian network of mentors and regional support of investors and service partners.
