Partnering with Doctor Anywhere, Go-Jek’s private-hire drivers now can have access to video consult with a certified doctor with a corporate rate for each session and medication delivery within three hours

The ride-hailing startup Go-Jek came forward again with another partnership, this time with Singapore-based on-demand health consultation platform Doctor Anywhere to benefit its drivers with the health facility.

By having the Doctor Anywhere app on their smartphones, the drivers will be provided with corporate access to online and physical medical consultation services starting on April 1. Go-Jek will pay the subscription fee in full so drivers can do video consults with Singapore-registered doctors, eliminating the commute and long waits.

More perks come with the partnership allowing driver-partner to enjoy a partner rate for medical consultation with facilities such as diagnosis, treatment for common illnesses, prescribed medication, and issued medical certificates and referrals. For top active drivers-partners, some additional medical benefits will be subsidies by Go-Jek on top of the up to 40 per cent discounts in wellness services available on Doctor Anywhere’s marketplace.

“With prolonged medical insurance, our driver-partners are protected in the event of prolonged illness or injury. But prevention is just as important, so we plan to offer medical consultation and hopefully prevent health issues from cropping up in the first place,” said Lien Choong Luen, general manager of Go-Jek Singapore about the initiative.

The decision to partner with Doctor Anywhere, Lien said, was because the on-demand service is much like what Go-Jek offers. “Telehealth consultations are more convenient and time-saving, especially for drivers who are constantly on the go,” he added.
