Yummy App is the app extension of Yummy, a food-focussed media operated by online media startup IDN Media

Yummy, an IDN Media-owned outlet that produces cooking videos published on Facebook and Instagram, announced the launch of its Yummy App on Google Play Store and App Store yesterday, July 8.

Its beta version was launched a few weeks ago and the company claims it has been downloaded 150.000 times as per June 2019.

Yummy was launched by IDN Media on July 2016, and counts over 3.3 million followers.

Yummy App’s features are designed to target millennials and ‘Generation Z’ who want to cook. Features such as ‘Cook’ lets users pick a recipe based on the available ingredients, while its Recipe Filters allow users to find a recipe based on the available budget, cooking time, or portion.

In its official statement, Yummy said the app also has features that enable users to be closer and more connected to each other, in order to appeal to its Millennials and Gen Z target market. Through the ‘Upload Recipe’ feature, users can submit recipes of their food creations to Yummy App’s community page and earn Yummy points that can be exchanged with cash.

Yummy’s official hashtag is #MasakituGampang (Cooking is Easy in Indonesia).
