The platform plans to “broaden its reach” by pivoting towards corporations and developers market
Indonesian live video streaming platform Zeemi.tv announced that the company is going on a hiatus, starting by limiting users’ ability to go live from its website, followed by their mobile app coming offline “soon.”
Promising to give more details in the future, the company also mentioned in their announcement that it plans to “broaden its reach” by pivoting towards the corporations and developers market.
“We thanked all of our valued users for being so much fun and travelling through the pioneering world of live video streaming with us,” the statement wrote.
“We will continue to pioneer live-streaming and we’re excited about what the future holds for us,” it added.
DailySocial reported that Zeemi.tv CEO and Founder Tom Damek had confirmed the startup is changing its business model and will continue to operate, though he did not give more details on the direction of the change.

He also declined to comment on whether any employees are being laid-off during this process.
Starting its operation in 2014, Zeemi.tv is a local player in Indonesian live video streaming scene, where it competes with regional players such as Cliponyu, Bigo, and Nonolive.
In 2015, the platform raised US$1 million from 500 Startups and DeNA.
Apart from Zeemi.tv, another Indonesian startup which had recently announced its pivot is digital concierge service YesBoss.
