We have lined up another seven of the many investors for the TOP100 pitching qualifiers. Here is a little more insight into who they are!
Carmen Yuen
Carmen Yuen is a Partner at Vertex Ventures, one of the most respected VC firms in Southeast Asia. Yuen joined the company in 2014 and is focussed on Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Yuen has a background in angel investing at Majuven and has been involved in Singapore’s government-backed initiatives like EDB Investments and Spring SEEDS Capital. She has been a leader in the Singapore start-up community since the early days.
Nikhil Kapur
As a Principal for Gree Ventures Nikhil Kapur covers investments across Southeast Asia and India.He joined the firm in 2015 after founding a successful mediatech company in Singapore.
Kapur completed his MBA, with a major in finance, at the National University of Singapore after receiving the NUS MBA Academic Excellence Award.
Jeffrey Nah
Jeffrey Nah has a long history with incubation and acceleration in the entrepreneurship and startup space. Nah’s experience is not just limited to startups, he also consults with SMEs to help them future-proof their companies.
Nah is a Registered Management Consultant (RMC) with the Institute of Management Consultants Singapore (the Spring Singapore recognized certification organization).
James Ong
YCH Group / Supply Chain Angels
James Ong is the Head of Corporate Finance at YCH Group, a leading integrated end-to-end supply chain management and logistics partner to some of the world’s largest companies.
Ong leads investment decisions for YCH — a company that is consistently recognised for business excellency in Singapore. He also focusses energy on the company’s real estate assets and supply chain financing initiatives.
Ong is also the Investment Manager for Supply Chain Angels, YCH’s Venture Capital investment vehicle.
Kim Liu
Kim Liu is an experienced professional from the telecommunications and financial service industry. Plus, her background is in both MNCs and start-ups, so she understands how to bridge both worlds.
Liu was a Product Management Director of Aicent Inc., a global IPX company. She managed international services for the operator’s global ambitions.
Dave Kwong
Kwong has a long history as an investor and analyst. Currently, as an Investment Associate at Incubate Fund, he is focussed on deal sourcing, screening, supporting startups and navigating the ecosystem.
Incubate Fund is an early stage venture capital firm with offices in Tokyo, Singapore, Bangalore, and San Francisco.
Prior to Incubate, Kwong worked as an Investment Associate at KKFund.
Yee Hoong Chow
Yee Hoong was most recently the founder of Custom Tribe, an online algorithmic custom shirt startup where he built the operations, marketing, and tech functions over two years. Prior to that he was with Xeraya Capital covering MedTech in oncology, cardiovascular, and chronic care and invested in radiotherapy (US) and blood technology (APAC) startups.
