Echelon TOP100 2018’s Vietnam Qualifiers features a power-packed line-up of 4 prominent figures from Venture Capital (VC) background.

From hundreds of startups applying to showcase their startups as part of the Echelon TOP100 Qualifiers across the region, 15 have been shortlisted to take the stage at CirCO Co-Working Space in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam this Tuesday, April 3.

They will bring their best pitch forward to be awarded the Judges’ Choice and Fan Favourite – get accelerated to the Finals at Echelon Asia Summit in Singapore this June amongst the shortlisted 100 – and ultimately vie for prizes from WeWork, STSP, Web in Travel and SPRING Singapore!

But first – these are the judges they have to get a stamp of approval from:

  • Jeffrey Nah, Managing Director, JN Capital and Growth Advisory
    Established in Singapore in 2008, Extream Ventures is an early-stage venture fund focused on Asia-based technology-driven companies in the areas of communications, IT software and solutions, and interactive and digital media (IDM). Extream is involved in helping start-ups develop sustainable recurring streams and demonstrate scalability quickly through the quick market access and capital by leveraging their networking the region’s market.
  • Tran Duy Khiem, Associate, Expara
    Expara is Singapore’s pioneer and leader in incubation, early-stage venture capital, entrepreneurship, innovation training, mentorship and advisory work. Expara’s works closely with start-ups, SMEs and key players in both the public and the private sector in the local enterprise ecosystem.
  • Hau Ly, Investment Manager, 500 Startups
    500 Startups is on a mission to discover and back the world’s most talented entrepreneurs, providing them with the knowledge and technical expertise to scale and build thriving global ecosystems. 500 Startup’s “Seed Programs” initiative focuses on a range of strategies including digital marketing, customer acquisitions, and fundraising. To date, 500 Startups have invested in over 1,800 start-ups globally.
  • Yen Do, Associate, Patamar Capital
    Patamar Capital is passionate about improving the livelihoods of the working poor through strategic investments in scalable businesses. Patamar’s main focus areas include engagement with the poor and linking them to economically active zones, addressing market inefficiencies by improving supply chains and distribution platforms, and maximizing social and financial returns. Patamar is primarily involved in the greater Asia region.

TOP100 Qualifier Roadshows begin across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, (now) Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar from March 6th, 2018, before taking on the rest of APAC. The TOP100 2018 Official Startup Application Round for joining the Qualifier Roadshow has ended, but we are still accepting applications for Discretionary Admission.
